She stood on the edge of the steepest cliff on the highest mountain. She looked out at the sunrise. Maybe the last she will ever see. She is not scared of the future, she welcomes it. She jumps and let herself fall with grace. She watched the ground coming closer and looked up at the sun. She smiled. Unfurling her magnificent wings, she allows the wind to catch her and throw her forward. Within inches of the treeline, one tree actually scraping at her stomach, she rose up. The last of her kind. Brought to the brink of extinction. She knew there would be no more. She is seen as a monster, a relic of the old faith. A bygone age of Wisdom, Magic and Honour. All of which seem to have been hunted down and trampled upon just like her kind. Those murderers follow one faith and nothing can stand in its way. Humans, once welcome friend to Dragonkin, now hunters for their God and their Greed.
She hovered high, staring at the sun, wishing to embrace it. To feel its warmth...the warmth of another. For many a year has she been alone. Time is irrelevant. ...
